This Privacy Policy explains how StockVan ("the App", "we", "us") collects, uses, and protects information when you use our mobile application. StockVan is developed and operated by StockVan, registered in Cieszyn, Poland ("the Developer").

To use features that require an account (creating a van, inviting teammates, subscribing to a paid plan), we collect:

The App requests access to your device camera solely to scan barcodes on stock items. Camera images are processed on-device to read the barcode and are not stored or transmitted as photos, unless you explicitly choose to attach a photo to an item.
If you use the in-app AI assistant, the text you type and relevant inventory context (e.g. item names and quantities needed to answer your question) are sent to our backend and forwarded to our AI provider (OpenAI) to generate a response. This content is used only to generate your answer and is not used by us or, per OpenAI's API data usage policy, by OpenAI to train models.
Subscription purchases are processed by Apple and by our payments partner, RevenueCat. We (and RevenueCat) receive purchase/renewal/cancellation events and an anonymous or account-linked purchaser identifier so we can unlock the correct plan for your account. We do not receive your full payment card details — these are handled entirely by Apple.
The App can send you local, on-device reminders about low or out-of-stock items, based on settings you choose (which items, and what time of day). These reminders are generated and scheduled entirely on your device and do not require sending your inventory data to us.
We may automatically collect basic technical information necessary to operate the App reliably, such as device type, operating system version, and crash/error logs.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use your inventory data for advertising.
We share information only with the service providers necessary to operate the App:

We may also disclose information if required by law, or to protect the rights, safety, and property of the Developer, our users, or others.
We retain your account and inventory data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we delete your personal data and inventory within 30 days, except where retention is required by law (e.g. billing records) or to resolve disputes.

StockVan is a business/professional tool intended for tradespeople and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under the age of 16. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can delete it.
We use industry-standard measures (including encrypted connections and access controls) to protect your data. However, no method of electronic storage or transmission is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Our service providers may process data outside your country of residence, including in the United States. Where this occurs, we rely on appropriate safeguards required by applicable law (such as Standard Contractual Clauses).
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will update the "Effective date" above and, for material changes, notify you through the App.
